Swati Agarwal-Sinha, MD, FASRS

Dr. Swati Agarwal-Sinha is a retina consultant with specialized training in both retinal diseases and pediatric ophthalmology. She earned her MD and ophthalmology residency from the University of Rajasthan, India, followed by a retina fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. In the U.S., she completed fellowships at the University of Florida, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and the University of Washington, Seattle.
Her clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, ocular trauma, pediatric retinal diseases and retinopathy of prematurity. A dedicated clinician-scientist, Dr. Agarwal-Sinha has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented her research nationally and internationally. Her work focuses on anti-VEGF therapy, retinal imaging, adult and pediatric retinal diseases and retinopathy of prematurity.
She believes in treating every patient with the same dedication and compassion she would offer to her own family, bridging evidence-based science with patient-centered care.
Dr. Agarwal-Sinha lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with her dog. Her husband is a professor in the department of Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, cooking, biking, hiking, and spending time with her family.
